Last updated: October 10, 2026

1. Summary

2. Information stored on your device only

The following is saved locally on your device using Android's private app storage (SharedPreferences) and never leaves your device or is sent to us:

This data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data in your device settings.

3. Information we collect and process

a. Crash and diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics)

To keep the app stable, EyeGlue uses Google Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes or encounters a serious error, Crashlytics automatically collects and transmits diagnostic information to Google on our behalf, which may include:

This data is used solely to diagnose and fix crashes and bugs. It is not used to identify you personally, is not used for advertising, and is not sold. Crash collection is enabled in the published (release) version of the app.

Google processes this data as described in the Firebase Crashlytics Privacy and Security documentation and the Google Privacy Policy.

b. Purchase data (Google Play Billing)

EyeGlue offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full version. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive from Google only a confirmation of whether a purchase was completed, so the app can unlock its features. We never receive or store your name, payment card number, or billing address. Google's handling of your purchase is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

4. How we use information

We use the limited information described above only to:

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers that make the app work:

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect our legal rights, but given the minimal data involved this is unlikely to apply.

6. Permissions we request and why

PermissionWhy EyeGlue needs it
InternetTo send crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics and communicate with Google Play Billing.
Run foreground service / special useTo reliably sound your alarm at the scheduled time, even when the app is in the background.
Post notificationsTo display the alarm and the foreground-service notification.

Wake lockTo wake the screen so the alarm can be seen and dismissed.
Receive boot completedTo re-schedule your saved alarm after your device restarts, so a set alarm still fires.

Use full-screen intentTo show the ringing alarm screen, including over the lock screen, so it can be dismissed.

None of these permissions are used to collect personal data.

7. Data retention and deletion

8. Data security

Local settings are stored in Android's private, per-app storage. Data transmitted to Google (crash reports and purchase verification) is sent over encrypted connections. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we rely on Google's infrastructure and Android's security model to protect this information.

9. Children's privacy

EyeGlue is a general-audience alarm-clock app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

The app is operated with the support of Google's services, and data such as crash reports may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. By using the app, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in such locations.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because EyeGlue collects so little data and holds no account, most requests can be satisfied by clearing the app's data on your device. For anything else, contact jonathan@lowlevl.com.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at the same URL. Your continued use of the app after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Contact us
