PicSir — Photo Editor

Effective Date: August 18, 2026

Summary: PicSir is a photo editing app. Your photos are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded. We use Firebase for basic analytics and crash reporting, and we store a single anonymized device record on our server to enforce the one-time free trial. Nothing else leaves your device.

1. Information We Collect

Photos & Media: PicSir accesses photos you select from your device gallery solely for editing within the app. Your photos are never uploaded to any server — all processing happens locally on your device.

Analytics & Crash Data: We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage data and crash reports. This may include:

This data is pseudonymous and is not used to identify you personally. Advertising ID collection is explicitly disabled in the app.

Camera: If you use the AR camera feature, the camera feed is processed entirely on your device to render live sticker effects. Camera frames and captured photos are never uploaded; captures are saved only to your device.

Trial Verification: To enforce the one-time 7-day free trial, the app stores a one-way hash (SHA-256) of your Android device ID, together with trial start and last-seen timestamps, in Google Cloud Firestore. The hash cannot be reversed to reveal your device ID, is not linked to any other data, and is used for no other purpose. This record persists after uninstall so the trial cannot be restarted by reinstalling.

Local Preferences: The app stores settings and cached trial status locally on your device using Android DataStore.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

3. How We Use Information

The data we collect is used solely to:

4. Third-Party Services

PicSir uses the following third-party services:

5. Data Storage & Security

All your photos and preferences are stored locally on your device. The only data we store server-side is the trial verification record described above: a one-way hashed device identifier and two timestamps, held in Google Cloud Firestore. Analytics and crash data are processed by Google Firebase in accordance with their privacy policies.

6. Children’s Privacy

PicSir is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Permissions

PicSir requests the following Android permissions:

8. Your Choices & Data Deletion

To request deletion of the data PicSir stores (the hashed trial verification record and any associated analytics data), email us at jonathan@lowlevl.com from any address — no account is needed. We will delete the record within 30 days. Data stored only on your device (photos, edits, preferences) is removed by uninstalling the app.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
